BBQ Garlic Butter Prawns
Ingredients
Marinade
- 24 pieces tiger prawns
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 1.5 oz butter
- 1 red chili finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves finely chopped
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp parsley finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
Preparation of the prawns
- If using bamboo skewers, soak in water to prevent them from burning for at least half an hour before starting to grill
- Peel the prawn, leaving the tail intact, and then devein them
- Place it on a flat surface. Run a very sharp small knife carefully across the prawn so that the body is divided into two attached halves
- Combine olive oil, salt, and pepper, and mix well in a bowl. Add the prawns and let marinate
Garlic Butter Sauce
- Place a medium-size pan on low heat and add the butter to melt
- Add chopped garlic, chilies, chopped parsley, and salt to allow them to infuse
Grilling
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, thread the prawns onto the skewers
- Place the skewers on the hot grill and cook each side for a minute
- Remove the prawns from the skewers and toss them into garlicky butter and cook for another minute, or until opaque and white/pink
- Sprinkle with lemon juice and serve immediately
