The Whisky World Has Just Met Yorkshire, England With Filey Bay

Yorkshire

Yorkshire is among the most popular locations in the UK to go to, due to its people, surroundings, culture, and historic landmarks. The Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery opened in 2016– the county’s very first whisky distillery– and the group prides itself on grain-to-bottle distilling making use of simply barley grown on the home farm at Hunmanby. Their stillhouse is complete with 2 big Forsyths copper pot stills and a four-plate copper column, and the distillery has actually stood out in producing a range of finishes and tastes since it started bottling its whiskies. Imported by ImpEx Beverages and thoroughly dispersed, it registers with ImpEx’s lineup of distilleries that were under the wing of the late Dr. Jim Swan in their early days, including Penderyn and Milk & Honey.

Spirit of Yorkshire writes,

“For us it’s about doing things properly. That’s why we’re obsessed with every step of the distilling process, from field to bottle, using 100% homegrown barley. Mentored by renowned whisky expert Dr. Jim Swan, we respect tradition whilst applying our own thinking to create a whisky that doesn’t just replicate Scotch but is delicious in it’s own right.”
