Cranberry Bourbon BBQ Sauce
A combination between cranberry sauce and BBQ sauce, this recipe is perfect with smoked meats

- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Bring cranberries, sugar and water to a boil in medium sauce pan over medium heat. Reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries are soft and the sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 8-10 minutes more, until the sauce has thickened and the cranberries have burst.
Can be made ahead. Store, tightly covered in the fridge for up to a week. Bring to room temp before serving.
