Kristin Cavallari is yet another “reality” TV star that rose to fame simply by letting people watch her everyday life.
She started out as an MTV sensation in 2004 as a cast member of “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County.”
Most of her shows were flops, but that did not stop her from raking it in.
Eventually, she got it figured out and has built herself a nice little empire.
A Pretty Smile Goes a Long Way
Kim Kardashian she is not, but Cavallari has carved out a nice little niche for herself…
And by “nice,” I mean she has about $30 million sitting in the bank…
Before her reality fame hit, she explained, “[Before Laguna Beach], I was a hostess at a restaurant in Dana Point, California, called the Salt Creek Grille and that was a really big deal for me.
“I got that job when I was 15. I want to say I made $8 an hour.
“The second season [of that show], I used my paycheck to get a BMW X5.
“That was a really big moment for me, especially because the car that I got when I was 16 was an 11-year-old Isuzu Trooper that broke down on me all the time.
“I hated it, especially being in Laguna Beach where all of my friends had brand-new Mercedes.
“And when I was 18, I bought my first pair of Christian Louboutin shoes.”
She has since expanded out to create quite the empire, authoring several cookbooks and developing her own fashion line.
Oh, did I mention that she used to be married to former NFL QB Jay Cutler?
They were married in 2018 and Cutler filed for divorce in 2020.
The divorce drug on for some time over financial differences, but the rumors are that it has all been settled and they are now officially divorced.
