Chocolate Whiskey Brownies
These chocolate whiskey brownies are sure to be the best and most fudgy brownies you'll have. They are also served best with caramel sauce drizzle and a light dusting of sea salt.

- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 2 1/2 tbsp whiskey of choice
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- caramel sauce as desired
- sea salt as desired
Preheat the oven to 350°, line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and grease with baking spray or butter In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, and whiskey and whisk to combine
Add in the eggs and whisk until well incorporated
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt and whisk until all the dry ingredients have just been incorporated
Pour the brownie batter into prepared baking pan and bake in oven for 20 minutes. Brownies should be somewhat gooey if tested with a toothpick
Let the brownies cool completely before cutting. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with sea salt as desired
Note: it is best to use a bourbon whiskey with this recipe as the flavor profile is sweeter.
Be sure to not over mix the batter after adding the dry ingredients
