
Chocolate Whiskey Brownies
These chocolate whiskey brownies are sure to be the best and most fudgy brownies you'll have. They are also served best with caramel sauce drizzle and a light dusting of sea salt.
Ingredients
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 2 1/2 tbsp whiskey of choice
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- caramel sauce as desired
- sea salt as desired
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, and whiskey and whisk to combine
- Add in the eggs and whisk until well incorporated
- Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt and whisk until all the dry ingredients have just been incorporated
- Pour the brownie batter into prepared baking pan and bake in oven for 20 minutes. Brownies should be somewhat gooey if tested with a toothpick
- Let the brownies cool completely before cutting. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with sea salt as desired
Notes
Note: it is best to use a bourbon whiskey with this recipe as the flavor profile is sweeter.
Be sure to not over mix the batter after adding the dry ingredients
