These chocolate whiskey brownies are sure to be the best and most fudgy brownies you'll have. They are also served best with caramel sauce drizzle and a light dusting of sea salt.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 1/2 tbsp whiskey of choice
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • caramel sauce as desired
  • sea salt as desired

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°, line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and grease with baking spray or butter
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, melted butter, and whiskey and whisk to combine
  • Add in the eggs and whisk until well incorporated
  • Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt and whisk until all the dry ingredients have just been incorporated
  • Pour the brownie batter into prepared baking pan and bake in oven for 20 minutes. Brownies should be somewhat gooey if tested with a toothpick
  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with sea salt as desired

Notes

Note: it is best to use a bourbon whiskey with this recipe as the flavor profile is sweeter.
Be sure to not over mix the batter after adding the dry ingredients
