Cinnamon Apple Whiskey Sour

This drink recipe is perfect for the winter months as it incorporates the favorite seasonal ingredient, apples.

Ingredients
  

Brown Sugar Syrup

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Cinnamon Apple Whiskey Sour

  • 2 oz whiskey
  • 3-4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 oz apple juice
  • 2-4 oz brown sugar syrup
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • ice for shaking and serving

Instructions
 

  • Combine the brown sugar and water in a small pot on medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer for 3 minutes. Take off heat and pour in a jar. Let cool completely.
  • Add the whiskey, lemon juice, apple juice, aquafaba, brown sugar syrup, and a pinch of cinnamon in to a cocktail shaker. Don’t add ice yet.  Shake vigorously.
  • Then, add ice and shake once more to chill. Strain in to a rock glass and garnish with apple slices or a lemon wedge.
