I am a firm believer that for some things in life, you are either born with the natural skill or not.
Skiing is one of those sports.
And believe me, Mikaela Shiffrin was born to ski.
Natural Talent…
Don’t get me wrong, anyone can learn to ski, but to compete at a level like Shiffrin, it has to be in your blood…
Considering she was born in Vail, Colorado, I am thinking she was on skis before she could even walk…
To that point, she appeared on the World Cup circuit when she was just 15 years old…
She was the youngest slalom Olympic champion in history when she won at the 2014 Olympics, defending her title again in 2018…
With numerous World Cup victories, she is one of the greatest women’s alpine skiers of all time…
Anyone that wants to argue that, just look at her 17 wins during the 2018-19 season…
And it’s not just skiing, as this girl is a pure action junkie.
If she is not barreling down the slopes, she is doing something to challenge nature.
