An ominous and eerily glowing Cigar-Shaped UFO was documented by multiple witnesses in the South of France across the Departments (analogous to states) of Herault, Aude, and Pyrenees Orientales beginning on November 9th, the video has gone globally viral as experts and the fascinated public around the world attempt to explain or interpret the startling images captured near the Mediterranean coastline. With so many strange sights in the skies above Europe in recent months, this has captured a lot of attention.
Tetova News published the video on YouTube, but several other videos have been released by meteorology site Météo Gard – Hérault via Twitter according to French media outlet Midi Libre. They write (translated),
“We can observe a rectangular luminous shape wandering in the dark night. According to our fellow meteorologists, the event was observed from Montpellier, Cournonterral, Palavas-les-Flots or even Sète. Reports have even been reported from Andorra, Narbonne and Perpignan”.

The sightings were spread over a vast distance of 232 miles along the coastal region west of Marseille all the way to the border with Spain and the principality of Andorra. Few UFO sightings are so widely observed over such densely populated areas making this unusual event extremely difficult for skeptics to cast aside unduly.
The sighting was reportedly documented by several dozen people miles apart, drawing gasps from onlookers as it lingered soundlessly and traveled at an extremely high rate of speed while emitting a powerful orange glow and rotating occasionally. The phenomenon has created enough buzz to catch the attention of the legendary paranormal AM Radio program Coast to Coast with George Noory.

UFO? Military Test? Meteorite? Or Hoax?
Naturally, the theories explaining the incredible sightings range wildly from top-secret French military testing (Many don’t know that the top-secret French nuclear program was a quiet third power during the cold war.) to lasers, drones, meteorites, and projections.
Prominent French Youtube Prankster Rémi Gaillard has even claimed the entire episode to be a prank concocted by him and two ‘witnesses’ targeted at a gullible media in the spirit of Orson Well’s War of the Worlds. However, Gaillard has not yet clarified how he did so or reproduced the effect. So it very much is up to you as the viewer and reader to decide: Do you want to believe?
