Here at WB we like the whiskey and cannabis way to much to compete but can’t wait for the video to come out afterward.
Extreme obstacle race
Red Bull is currently accepting applications for the Ibiza Royale obstacle race. Any event associated with Red Bull is guaranteed to be extreme. You’ll need your wings to complete this physically grueling challenge.
“Mixed teams of two will face entertaining and outrageous obstacles testing speed, strength, balance and reaction.” The games begin April 11, 2025, and run four days.
Anyone over the age of 18 is invited to compete in the obstacle race. You compete in mixed teams of one biological male and female each.
While the event is open to practically anyone, if you’re not in shape enough for extreme endurance tests you’re not going to stand a chance of making the final selection.
The way Red Bull puts it on their website, “the competition is open to all fitness levels.”
“As the obstacle race will test strength, speed, balance and reaction, having an active lifestyle and base fitness level is encouraged.” You can sign up in “three easy steps.” There’s no entry fee.
Find a friend
Step one, Red Bull instructs, “team up: Find a friend to form a mixed, two-person team.” Pick someone who can beat you in an obstacle race but not by much. If they leave you in the dust, drop out and let them find a partner. The next step is completion of a “qualifying challenge.”
There are several locations nationwide where you can qualify “in person.” Since travel isn’t an option for everyone, you can qualify “online.” Step three is not an option. “Create a 60-second video explaining why your team should be selected.”
On the day of the big race, you’ll be faced with “a series of obstacles that you and your teammate must conquer together.”
As the competition progresses, the “top teams will advance to the Grand Final, where the fastest team through the Castle Course will be crowned the winner.”
Nobody will know what the final course will look like until March 28. Red Bull is revealing that the race will wind all through Ibiza Castle. Expect just under a mile in length with a rise of 295 feet.
“Both travel and accommodation will be provided to all participants selected for the Race in Ibiza.” As long as you have “valid travel and health insurance.” They aren’t specifying a grand prize other than “an exclusive Red Bull experience awaits the winners!“
