Limited Edition 577 Horse Mercedes Roadster Hits US Market Fast

Mercedes

If you’re a Mercedes fan, they have an offer for you. Those interested better get to the dealer quick. It’s “limited to just 100 units.” The 2025 SL 63 Manufaktur Golden Coast can hit “a top speed of 196 mph.” That’s not bad for “a high-performance luxury convertible designed exclusively for the U.S. market.” Where the max speed limit is 85, on a highway in Texas.

Mercedes special-edition

Mercedes just “unveiled its latest special-edition roadster.” The 2025 model SL 63 Manufaktur Golden Coast “follows last year’s SL 63 Big Sur edition, drawing inspiration from the golden hues of the American West Coast.

Those hues may be more of an ash gray these days. Especially around Malibu.

The high-performance luxury convertible was developed by their Manufaktur customization division.

This year’s edition “is distinguished by its Kalahari Gold Magno paint, covering both the body and accent areas of the black 21-inch forged wheels.” Mercedes was hoping to “capture the elegance of coastal sands at sunset.

The designers thoughtfully added the Aerodynamic Package and Night Package to “enhance the car’s aggressive presence.” The interior continues the golden theme with “intricate gold stitching and accents across the seats, door panels, and center console.

Mercedes made sure to prominently display a “MANUFAKTUR Golden Coast” badge which “further cements the vehicle’s exclusivity.

Under the hood

The main thing potential customers get excited about lurks under the hood.

Performance remains a focal point,” Mercedes boasts, “with the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 delivering 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque.” This car can get out of its own way.

Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive, the SL 63 Golden Coast accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.

Mercedes

Mercedes is sure to point out that it “reaches a top speed of 196 mph.” Radar detector optional.

Production of the SL 63 Golden Coast, they remind, “is limited to 100 units.” That means if you’re interested you better let them know.

The first shipments are due to hit “select” Mercedes dealerships in February 2025. If you give them a jingle, they may still be able to send one to a dealership near you. If not, don’t worry about traveling to get one, they’ll be gone.
