This stylish yacht was custom engineered for a “young and enthusiastic” owner. Now that they have the blueprints, Cantiere delle Marche can build more just like it. The Flexplorer 146 packs “some cool hidden features” into it’s 44.5-meter length. Like the “fold-down bulwarks that enlarge the deck space aft when the vessel is at anchor.

Impressive explorer yacht

The Nasarda is actually the third 146-foot yacht in the Flexplorer series. Commissioned by a “young and enthusiastic” owner, it’s currently getting the finishing touches at Cantiere delle Marche’s Ancona facility.

The Italian based company is a “resounding name in the yachting industry” and this model was designed with elegance by Sergio Cutolo and Hydro Tec. You can thank Winch Design for the interiors.

At this point, the explorer yacht is being “meticulously tailored to meet the owner’s preferences.” They like to call it “a Transformer for the high seas.

That’s because it can flip and fold and change shape to provide handy equipment and additional space. Some of the noteworthy design features are “a displacement steel hull and aluminum superstructure.

The owner will be much more interested in the “cool hidden features up its sleeve.” Unique, expandable elements “that enhance its capability on the water, such as the fold-down bulwarks that enlarge the deck space aft when the vessel is at anchor.

That creates “an expansive terrace of around 1,238 square feet,” which comes in handy for “sunbeds, loungers, and more to create a nice social space.” That’s not the only clever engineering this yacht has.

Extra features galore

When your home on the high seas can’t be snuggled up against the dock in a marina, a “tender” boat is essential. That’s why the folks who designed the Flexplorer built “an A-frame crane neatly concealed in the aft deck’s flooring when not in use.” That’s used to “launch a 28-foot (8.5-meter) tender without hindering the use of the deck space.

The yacht comes with that as standard equipment but many owners are opting for a submersible, which also needs a launching crane.

The inside is just as impressive. British design studio Winch Design equipped the Flexplorer yacht with “an equally impressive, eco-friendly interior.” They went crazy with “a combination of green materials, an earthy color palette, and organic textures.” Everywhere you look you’ll find “Thames wood, reclaimed seashell composite, eggshell finishes, recycled fishing nets, and woven grass.

One of the real attention grabbers is the “green living wall” made from preserved moss. To make the owner happy, “carpets are made from recycled fishing nets, while furnishings will include palm leather.

The buyer insisted on “accommodation for six guests and six crew members.” The engineers arranged it so “three guest cabins are located on the main deck and include two twins and a flexible large double cabin, which can be used as the owner needs.” The master suite “is luxurious and comfortable, offering a private place to relax and meditate.

The owner’s deck “also features a private stern terrace and a forward lounge area with a cold plunge pool.” By setting the superstructure forward, the designers provide “a 32.8-foot (10-meter) custom tender, a crew tender, and two jet skis.” This yacht, the builder brags, pushes “the boundaries of exploration” by “granting access to the earth’s remotest areas, devoid of any services or assistance.
