HANK WILLIAMS JR’S 3 KIDS SING “WHISKEY BENT & HELL BOUND” [Watch]

HANK WILLIAMS JR’S 3 KIDS SING

Hank Williams Jr.’s three children got together to sing a classic song from their father, “Whiskey Bent And Hell Bound.”

In March of 2020, CMT launched a new digital series called Another Round, where various artists would perform “in the round” for a small audience.

The first episode of this series was a real treat, featuring Hilary, Holly, and Sam Williams, who have never performed together in public before.

“We’re from that outlier family in country music called the Williams family,” Sam said at the start of the episode, referring to their family, which boasts two country legends: Hank Williams (their grandfather) and Hank Williams Jr. (their father).

The three Williams siblings began the show by introducing themselves, after which Holly said that they had planned to sing one of their father’s songs, and their first thought was “Family Tradition.”

“We came in here this morning and started ‘Family Tradition’ and it was like the worst of American Idol,” she said as her siblings laughed.

They decided to change songs to another one of their favorites: “Whiskey Bent And Hell Bound.”

Each sibling sang their own part of the song, beginning with Sam, then Holly, and then Hilary. Afterwards, they each played an original song of their own.

Hilary sang a song called “Drinkin’,” Holly played her song “Crazy,” and Sam sang one called “Can’t Fool Your Own Blood.”

At the end of the show, the siblings played a hit song released by their grandfather in 1947: “I Saw The Light.”

As Country Rebel notes, “We’re sure Hank Sr. is proud of his grandchildren for keeping his legacy alive. Hank Jr. brings his kids on stage now and again, so we already know he’s proud, too!”
