Strawberry Vodka Lemonade
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cup strawberries de-stemmed and quartered
- 1/2 cup sugar to taste
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup lemon juice fresh squeezed
- 12 oz vodka of choice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the strawberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil and then simmer for a few minutes. Use a utensil to break the strawberries apart.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into a fine mesh sieve over a measuring cup or bowl. Press the pulp into the sieve to extract as much liquid as possible and let strain for 15 minutes or so. Chill the juice and discard the pulp.
- Use a citrus press to squeeze about 6 lemons. Combine the strained juice, fresh lemon juice, and vodka in a pitcher. Add some lemon wedges, if desired.
- Chill the strawberry vodka lemonade for at least an hour before serving. Prep glasses by adding some sliced strawberries, lemon slices, and ice to desired glasses. Pour vodka lemonade into the glasses. Serve.
