Casa Cuevas Cigars revealed the launch of the “Sangre Nueva” cigar brand at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show at the Sand Exposition Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This is the first Casa Cuevas brand entirely combined by Alec Cuevas that was recently promoted to Supervisor of Trademark Name Growth. Master Mixer Luis Cuevas Sr. felt it was time that his grandson Alec Cuevas takes the lead on the new brand as well as the appropriately called Sangre Nueva (translates to New members from Spanish) is his very initial advancement. Alec Cuevas, the 5th generation of the Cuevas cigar family looked to create a mix that represents “old Practices, brand-new Generation”.
The cigars feature an Ecuadorian Cameroon wrapper, and Honduran Corojo binder, as well as Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Pennsylvania broadleaf filler. Alec Cuevas noted:
“The motto “old traditions, new generation” signifies so much more to me than a passing of the family torch. It represents all the experiences I have actually ever been through in this industry, from working behind the counter offering my fellow producer’s items, to investing my summertimes discovering all there is to know about our factory from a really young age. Sangre Nueva is an individual love letter to my household, who positioned their faith in me to produce something from scratch offered my understanding of tobacco. It is also the culmination of patrons and distributors alike that took time out of their day to educate me and much better help me specify my palate throughout all these years. It’s been a blast creating such a mouthwatering mix, and I believe it’s a perfect representation of the gratitude I have for this unique market.”
The Sangre Nueva blend is available in 10-count boxes and expressed in 3 vitolas.
The cigars are made at the Cuevas family’s Tabacalera Las Lavas factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The cigars are anticipated to be in stores by late July, according to reports.
