Country Music Super Star Begins Making American Hooch

Country

Famed Country singer and songwriter Brad Paisley has launched his very own Bourbon, which he is calling “American Highway Reserve” in November 2021. What makes this particular bourbon so very, very unique is the aging. This could be the very first bourbon to be aged on the very highways for which it is named.

That’s right! “American Highway” has been aged in barrels that were stored in a 53-foot long semi-trailer which accompanied Paisley on his 2019 nation-wide tour that crisscrossed the arteries of the American heartland for 7,314 miles through 25 different states, from sea to shining sea.

“Bourbon is like songwriting, it’s a blend of things coming together to make something incredible,” said Paisley according to PRNewswire. “These are really special barrels that saw more of the United States than most people I know.”

A Country Bourbon:”Born In Kentucky, Aged Across America”

Paisley’s bourbon is being produced by the of Bardstown, KY deep in the heart of bourbon country. It is a blend of four different premium Kentucky “rye forward” Bourbons aged three years, 13 years and 15 years respectively in a 96-proof bottle. At the heart of the process is the finishing which took place on the road. News-Graphic described the process, “The fluctuating climate of the barrels’ journey expanded and contracted their staves, imparting oak and char that cultivate the characteristics flavors of America’s native spirit. This well-traveled batch was then blended with three-year, 13-year and 15-year-old Kentucky bourbons to create the final product.”

Paisley sums up the creative process that derived his bourbon:

“It’s so similar to what goes into a great guitar. The right woods, the right craftsmanship, the right alchemy that makes this intangible, magical thing, and that’s what makes this so great to me.”

VP of New Product Development Dan Callaway, who seems quite proud of the collaboration with Brad Paisley described the experience. “You don’t get to see many celebrities that have such a technical palate,” he beamed “It was a super collaboration that resulted in a travelled bourbon in an exemplary expression.”

Callaway described the bourbon in glowing terms like a proud father,

“A blend of four rye-forward bourbons ranging in age from 3 to 15 years. The flavor profile is incredibly unique. Subtle, complex, spicy, well-traveled. As we like to say, it was, ‘born in Kentucky, aged across America’.”

Only 30,000 bottles of the first batch from the original 90 barrels are available for purchase in AL, CA, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MD, MI, MS, NC, NV, NY, OH, TN, TX, WI and WV, and exclusively online through www.seelbachs.com. The second batch is slated for 2022 and was aged during Paisley’s 2021 tour.
