Lake Tahoe, Nevada is known for its stunning views of nature as well as its luxurious properties and residents. Now, this mansion, named the Old Forge estate, is about to become the most expensive sale ever in the region, after hitting the market for a record-breaking $76 million.

Do you think this property is worth the price tag? Decide for yourself.

The five acre Nevada property located on prestigious Lakeshore Boulevard in Incline Village has attracted attention from wealthy buyers like NFL star Aaron Rodgers and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, making it a ‘generational’ opportunity.

But such an exorbitant price tag means only few can afford it – potentially even overtaking a 2013 sale of $48 million as the most expensive in all of Tahoe Bay.

Old Forge boasts seven ensuite bedrooms, an eight seater media room, bar and games room, all within its walls. There’s also an additional 1,500 square foot guest house which houses three additional bedrooms.

With plenty of outdoor space and renovations over recent years including new patio areas and second kitchen installations – plus a private pier leading to an exclusive 200 feet stretch of beach and raised jet ski platform – this property offers something for everyone.

And after spending time outdoors during hot summer days by Lake Tahoe, those lucky enough to call this place home can cool off with drinks in their own personal wine room or wet bar when they’re done playing around at sea.

Originally built in 1994 by disgraced casino mogul Steve Wynn – former chairman of Wynn Resorts who made his fortune in gambling world – Old Forge was sold to a trust four years later for $17 million before being sold again in 2017 for $31 million (less than half of its current asking price).

Commonly known for his taste for luxury expressed through designs such as Bellagio Golden Nugget and The Mirage Las Vegas casinos, Wynn had to step down from his chairman role due to workplace sexual misconduct scandal which saw him admit no wrongdoing but agree to pay a hefty fine of $10 million.

Other high rollers aside from our previously mentioned heavy hitters have purchased real estate around Lake Tahoe area too; some include Oracle founder Larry Ellison and tech billionaire David Duffield who truly appreciate what this beauty spot has offer with secluded privacy meshed with gorgeous backdrop views that money just can’t buy anywhere else.

As Christine Perry puts it “Properties like this are generational and rarely become available…Someone who is familiar with this area of Lake Tahoe will understand that the privacy, prestige and endless possibilities offered by this type of estate may not become available again for another 10 or 20 years.” A true gem that must be appreciated.
