Since the introduction of ChatGPT, people worldwide have been utilizing the power of AI in hundreds of thousands of ways. And now beer lovers can rejoice too, as brewers have stepped into the world of artificial intelligence to make new and unique beers.
Beck’s Autonomous is one of the first commercial breweries to use this tool, but other independent brew houses have also used it. We’ll explore the process behind ChatGPT and why it could revolutionize brewing as we know it.
ChatGPT is a clever AI chatbot that can be used for various tasks, including helping brewers create new beer recipes. It not only makes suggestions on the recipe itself but also helps with the packaging design, name creation, advertising campaigns and even website design.
It was developed by MailOnline who were asked by Beck’s to give their Autonomous beer a try and see how it compared with their flagship lager.
Brewers provide basic information about the beer they want to make such as its ingredients (water, grain, hops and yeast) and type of fermentation (bottom-fermenting yeast). This data is then fed into the chatbot which uses algorithms based on past experience to come up with suggested recipes for them to test out.
After testing these recipes against each other or against existing ones from different brands, brewers can decide which one they want to move forward with.
Beck’s Autonomous was made in celebration of 150 years since its founding in Bremen back in 1873. To mark this occasion they decided to give complete control over every decision related to its production – from recipe right down through marketing – all made by AI using ChatGPT.
This enabled them to create an entirely unique product that had never been seen before while still maintaining quality standards set by traditional brewing methods.
Additionally, using AI-enabled tools like ChatGPT enables brewers work faster and more efficiently than ever before as they no longer need dedicate hours or days researching different recipes or ingredients that may work well together – something that previously took time away from actual brewing activities themselves.
So what do you think? Would you give this AI designed beer a taste test?
