Rolls-Royce has just the thing for that corporate executive on your Christmas list. An elegantly bespoke whiskey and cigar chest “Cellarette,” simply perfect for the boardroom or company jet. Now that you’ve acquired your Glenfiddich collection and a proper stock of Arturo Fuente cigars, you simply must have the proper place to store them. That’s where the precision British engineering comes in.
Rolls-Royce elegance
When people think of luxury and quietly elegant distinction, two words instantly come to mind, Rolls-Royce.
Everyone is familiar with their luxury limousines but they also put their maker’s mark on other products. Only, of course, when the item lives up to their exacting standards of quality and distinction.
This year, Rolls-Royce is adding a new item to their Connoisseur’s Collection line. Since a full wine cellar and humidor aren’t practical on the corporate jet, the British luxury automaker created the next best thing.
Your very own portable and personal “Cellarette.” The company is convinced you’ll agree it fits right in with their “heritage of providing clients with effortless and affable hosting opportunities.”
According to the sales brochure, this latest addition “offers our clients new ways to enhance their lifestyle beyond the experience of their Rolls-Royce motor car.” The concept of Cellarettes has been around a while. Historically, they’ve been used to secure wine and spirits.”
Nicholas Abrams, designer of custom automobiles for the firm, notes this carefully crafted special edition “can be configured to stow aperitifs or digestifs, dependent on the client’s preferences, alongside prized cigars, in a spectacular fashion.”
Exquisite hand craftsmanship
The precision engineering is on full display as the Cellarette “epitomizes true Rolls-Royce style.” The “exquisite hand craftsmanship” underscores the “breath-taking presentation of luxury.”
These are sure to be a hit as “a centerpiece at an al fresco dining experience or as an accompaniment at an intimate gathering.”
Crafted from polished aluminum, the Cellarette exteriors “feature overlays of genuine Rolls-Royce Havana leather complete with an Obsidian Ayous open pore veneer serving tray with Spirit of Ecstasy inlay,” referring to the company’s iconic hood ornament logo.
Upon opening, the connoisseur is treated to “a warm Armagnac leather accentuated by a soft light, evoking the atmosphere of a distinguished Members’ Club.”
Also included are “hand-blown low-ball glasses, each exquisitely finished with the ‘RR’ monogram.” One end of the chest is “a humidor which, when opened, offers the user a cigar tray.” Not just any old tray, Rolls-Royce nestles your cigars “in Spanish Cedar-wood at the chosen humidity level for optimum enjoyment, a measure that is precisely monitored by a hygrometer.”
The other end conveniently houses “two smaller containers – one for an intricately detailed cigar cutter and lighter, made by S. T. Dupont, Paris, and engraved with the Spirit of Ecstasy Expression, and the other for an ashtray. The containers are magnetically held.” They sell for around $55,000, excluding local taxes.
