Hot Mulled Cider with Pear, Ginger and Whiskey

- glass or mug
Ingredients
- 1 qt pear nectar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 2" piece of ginger sliced into coins
- 6 whole cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks broke in half
- 2 bat leaves
- 1 cup whiskey
- 1 thinly sliced pair
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine pear nectar, brown sugar, lemon juice, ginger, cloves, cinnamon pieces, and bay leaves.
- Heat over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves, for around 15 minutes
- Strain off spices, if desired.
- Remove from heat and stir in whiskey
- Serve in heatproof glasses or mugs and garnish with a few pear slices
