The team of precision engineers at Mercedes-Benz came up with what they call “comfort and avant-garde on the water.” A premium motor yacht worthy of their perfectionist brand. They were out to design something folks would find “fascinating” with all the “speed and elegance of a Silver Arrow.” They nailed it.
Unique motor yacht design
The design team at Mercedes-Benz has a passion for things that haven’t been seen before. What they came up with was a yacht design which Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged” character Hank Reardon would love to be seen speeding around in.
The art deco lines make it seem shark-like. With real talent, Mercedes made it appear to be ripping through the waves while still anchored at the dock.
As they point out in the sales brochure, their “passion for new unseen designs has resulted in something unique indeed: a progressive and fascinating motor yacht that reflects the dynamic design of Mercedes-Benz and stands for luxury, style and pleasure on the water.”
They like to call it a “Silver Arrow of the seas.”
The bold but cozy craft “features the charismatic design elements contained in” their sports cars. These “have been adapted to the specific requirements of a motor yacht in a way that communicates pure emotion.”
It’s clear to see that technical superiority can also be beautiful.
Maritime innovations
Spanning 14 meters in length, the Granturismo yacht is as cutting edge as it is esthetically pleasing, stocked full of “maritime innovations that have not been present in the boat industry until now.”
That came from close collaboration with Silver Arrows Marine, “whose team includes world-renowned marine architects responsible for some of the most capable and luxurious craft in the world today.”
Along with the things one would expect to find on a luxury oceangoing craft, the interior of the yacht “features an impressive and elegant ambiance that provides a new level of style on board, and the valued comfort that only Mercedes-Benz offers.”
They make full use of every inch of space in really creative ways.
The engineers are proud of the way they designed the yacht with a “variable concept for spatial use.” What that means is that “the space can be flexibly adapted to the occasion.”
You can set it up one way for day trips, or it can be configured for staying on board overnight. That makes it a “top-end boat that neither compromises on functionality nor on user-friendliness.” Of course, you’ll want to equip it with a Rolls-Royce “Cellarette,” for that added touch of comfort.
