Blackberry Vodka Sour
Ingredients
Blackberry simple syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup blackberries fresh or frozen
Blackberry vodka sour
- 2 oz vodka of choice
- 3/4 oz lemon juice
- 3/4 oz blackberry simple syrup
- 1 egg white pasteurized, optional
- 2 blackberries to garnish
Instructions
Blackberry simple syrup
- Combine the sugar and water in a small pot over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved in the water. Be sure to not allow mixture to boil
- Add the blackberries and cook for a minute or so. Turn off the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature
- Strain the syrup into a glass jar
Blackberry vodka sour
- Combine the vodka, lemon juice, ¾ ounce of blackberry simple syrup, and the egg white in a cocktail shaker without ice, and shake
- Add a handful of ice to the shaker and shake again for 5 seconds
- Strain into a glass and top with blackberries
