Welcome to the gorgeous state of Alaska! And lucky for us, the 1320 crew brought us along on a journey into the jaw dropping Alaskan wilderness to explore one of the wildest drag racing scenes in the country.
We get an inside look at some of the most interesting builds and experience all the breathtaking scenery and intense No Prep drag racing action. Here’s what you don’t want to miss!
The first vehicle we take a closer look is a 1970 Ford F100 shortbed pickup truck that is fully built for racing. Boasting a 532 cubic-inch Ford big block motor with two 75-millimeter turbochargers, this beast can produce 1,100 horsepower to its rear wheels. Can it deliver on this promise? That remains to be seen.
Next up is an impressive Subaru build powered by a turbocharged 5.3 liter Chevy LS V8 engine paired with a manual Tremec T-56 6-speed transmission and factory Subaru independent rear end including axles. This small sedan will surely surprise us when it comes time to race.
And last but certainly not least is another amazing build – A Toyota MR2 featuring a K24 Honda engine and turbo that can produce 500hp at its rear wheels. Mid-engine Honda swaps are known for their ability to grip better than others, so we expect great results from this vehicle as well.
Now that we’ve taken a closer look at these incredible builds, it’s time for testing followed by some heads up racing action. With three powerful vehicles ready and raring to go, buckle up because things are about to get wild out there.
If you’re any sort of drag racing enthusiast, then you won’t want to miss out on these action packed races happening in Alaska’s stunning landscape.
From classic pickups competing against each other all the way through mid-engine Honda swaps putting their power down on the track, there’s something here for everyone – even if you’re more of an admirer than an enthusiast yourself.
